Bike Wheel Truing Stand Bicycle Wheel Maintenance

Bolted or clamped to a worktop this becomes a very handy peice of equipment for truing up wheels. Although not as sturdy as the more Professional Wheel Truing Jigs, I have nevertheless used it in building wheels of varying sizes and profiles with little or no hassles. I can do as nearly as perfect a job as with the dearer Jigs with a little more time and care. For those into building and truing your own wheels I would highly recommend it.

This tool will be very useful to all bikers would like to save money. I have no experience in truing wheels and because the Cyclingdeal price on this item is good, I decided to give it a try. I was able to make my 29er tyres well and true after using this. However, this is probably not the tool for building wheels as it is going to be very to work in this as it is not as sturdy compared to the professional truing stand. Do the math, one trip to your LBS for truing both of your wheel will cost you almost $100.00. There is is really no risk in getting this and truing your own road or maintain bike wheels.
