Great Fixie contd.

Well I have been riding for about a fortnight and am really pleased with the bike. However. if you buy this bike you do need to change out the bottom bracket. The chain line is 10mm out, and this could mean throwing the chain, which could be very serious if you are using it as a fixed wheel. Not only this you will get high chain and sprocket wear. You need to buy the 103mm BB (NOT 110mm as I first thought) that is advertised on this site for $10. The frame is obviously made for this as the chainwheel and crank clearances are fine. Also the bars are 600mm wide and I am going to chop off the ends, as 460mm is a more normal size for a fixie. Or I might get the track bars for $20 on this site...

Great Bike!

Had my first ride today and I must say I am impressed! Nice to ride, comfortable and feels quick. Just bought another one for my son. Just one complaint, the BB axle is too long so the chainline is out. I have just bought a 110mm BB for $10 on this site to replace the standard one. Hope it sorts it.

Great fixie

Very pleased with this bike. Build quality seems very good and the frame has tidy welds. It took me an hour to assemble. Now I prefer it to my carbon composite mountain bike because the ride is so smooth and quiet. For the price this bike is a steal. Read the size guide cos fixie frame sizes are not like MTB.
