Cycling sandal for spin class and road cycling
Susan W.2 October 2018The old cycling shoes I was using for spin wore out. I'd been wanting to try cycling sandals, as I live in a high desert. But in North America, it's autumn and no one has sandals. Found cyclingdeal on eBay—and, of course, it's spring and sandal time in Australia. So far, I have only used these sandals for spin class and have only worn them with socks. I don't know for sure, but think they might not be very comfortable without socks. I will find out next summer when I wear them on the road. The Velcro straps can be snugged down to allow pulling up adequately (at least on the stationary bike). Expect the Velcro will wear out, though, in a couple of years of regular use. There is a rubbery insert along the top of the foot that will limit air flow. I might look at removing that for outdoor use. The shoe offers adequate protection for the toe and sole. Overall, happy to have them now (vs. 6 month from now) and be able to use them.

Great all rounder
morgan s.7 July 2018I bought these sandals for an upcoming cycle trip in Asia. When they first arrived I was worried about the neoprene on top under the straps wasn’t going to allow enough air-flow. I have yet to fully test them in the heat but there is definitely more airflow than a shoe. These are a well made product and the sole provides a good compromise between pedaling efficiency and walkability.
