BroderickThere are so many different crank pullers on the market, at a range of prices, but I decided to give this one a go. Although it's at the cheaper end, it does the job very well. As long as you remember to remove the round end plug if you have square brackets (which I didn't do at first), you will have no problems.
Make sure you take the nobby bit off the end first
By: PhilipThis tool works as expected. I successfully took off my crank arms. Hooray! However, at the start I was wondering how on earth this was going to work, because the diameter of the black nobby bit on the end does not fit through the crank hole to push against the square taper bit on the bottom bracket. So basically I would have been pushing the crank against the crank itself (and would have just threaded the crank). I was trying to unscrew the nobby bit on the end to get it off, to no avail. Finally I saw on the bikehand website the picture shows it disconnected, which made it clear that the nobby bit just pulls off. Once I'd taken it off the tool worked perfectly.
