Hasa 105 Carbon Hybrid Flat Bar Road Bike Racer

I am also newly returned to cycling and chose this as my upgrade to my old iron from MTB. Happy with the bike. A word of warning though, you do need to be a little mechanical and able to search out references on the web to finish the assembly of this bike. However it is a good bike to ride. Great components for the price. Very few offerings out there that can match it.

I am a novice bike rider only being riding regularly for the last year or so. I had previously been riding my MTB mostly on paved bike tracks so I thought I would step up to bigger/thinner wheels, lighter weight of the HASA flat bar road bike. As others have mentioned the shipping was extremely fast - I received it the next day in Sydney. As many others have pointed out, there are not many reviews on the net regarding the HASA brand, and I was attracted mainly on price, and also by it being made in Taiwan. First impression was not the best as it had a puncture in the rear tube so I couldn't ride it immediately(I guess this could happen to any bike). The quality of the frame and components seems fine with no visible issues (although I was a bit alarmed with the punture at the start). Anyhow, after I got over the puncture fix, I have now ridden it 2-3 times per week for the last 2 months ~100km per week, and it is a great smooth ride. The seat looked like it would not be comfortable, but surprisingly no pain after 2-3 hour rides. The bike feels very light (compared to my Cell MTB!) especially in the front end, and the gear change is good (after some adjustment in the frond deraillieur which didnt work very well out of the box). The seat post and handlebars look great in carbon, but they are actually aluminium underneath. I have the tyres @120psi and theres a fair bit of vibration from the road, but nothing shaking around that shouldnt be. The continental tyres seem great so far without any punctures (touch wood) since it has been assembled.(although they may be a bit dicey in the wet I imagine) I did experience hand numbness, but it may have been due to my setup of the seat and handlebars. Anyhow I ordered a set of the Tranz-x bar ends and that seems to have sorted it out now. All in all, fantastic value for money. Cheers, Pete
