- ESSENTIAL FOR TITANIUM PARTS: Unlike the normal grease which is not enough to prevent the accelerated oxidation and bonding that occurs between titanium and other metals, this copper-based grease prevents cold-welding, galling, and seizing of metal-to-metal contact parts, especially those vulnerable to extreme pressures and moist conditions such as bolt threads, seatposts, pedals, bottom brackets, etc. It works well on all metals, but indispensable for reactive metals like titanium, aluminum, stainless steel and specialty alloys, and magnesium.
