Effective tool does what it's meant to
Robert M.Saw a video that showed how side cutters fray and crimp cables and how the proper cutters will cut accurately and effectively. I did a bit of browsing on the internet and found this tool was from several retailers and had some good reviews. I purchased it and it arrived quickly and on time and I found it exactly for my needs to replace the cables and cable covers for my road bike. Clean neat cuts and crimping made the job easy. Great cutter for the price
By: StephenThese cutters work great at a bargin price compared to other cutter prices. Cuts inner cable perfectly. Cuts shifter cables fine too. Can cut the brake cable (coil) okay too, make sure you cut perpendicular to the cable, also if it does not cut cleanly, try the cable 180 degrees in cutter and try again. One part cuts cleanly, the other part cut off may not so try cutting the other way round. Better than using side cutters/pliers or dremel type tool. Not sure how many cuts I can get though before they get blunt. So far so good. I am not sure it can do the crimping part though, I cannot see where I can do this on the tool.
